Hey...Tim Norton here.

We've posted a new link on the front page of www.fbcknox.org so your family and friends can see what's happening with you in Croatia.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm trying out "The Blog" as a means of communication...let me know if it works. I guess its public and others will want to write so I'll keep it short.

We had a great report on your trip in Church this morning ...however Michael's written report indicates the travel was full of problems and resolutions...such seems to be the rule, rather than the exception, of Croatian trips. Well at least you are there and safe and you will soon begin your ministry efforts. You must be so excited- despite your fatigue. I am so proud of both of you. And I miss you very much.
A few Qs...hows the weather? how did you find the dorm rooms? What are your first impressions of Cakovec and Croatia?
Any response will be great ... I just look forward to hearing directly from you.
Love you....Cliff/Dad

We are passing along the messages. It's been a long day. Thanks to Dr. Shiell for setting up this link.

Hey group!
I'm so incredibly jealous that you all are in Croatia and I'm in the States. You are working with some of the finest and most fun people...EVER! I will be praying for and thinking of you often. I hope Michael posts pictures and I'll stay connected that way.

You might not be in to it but I HIGHLY recommend journaling each night because it'll help you process your experience AND remember fun details six months from now.

Oh, and if you don't like the food, ask Michael to introduce you to the delciousness of a grilled peanut butter and nutella sandwich.

Much love!
Kara :o)

Hey all you m-trippers. Glad to see all are safe. Wow, it looks like things are working out Croatian-style as usual so enjoy the change-ups and the awesome folks you're working with over there. I'm with Kara and very jealous that you're alongside our friends helping a group of kids I fell in love with on my 1st trip. God is so going to rock your socks sharing with those little ones!! I'm thinking of you often and lifting you to the throne.

Hey Mitch, are the 3rd floor penthouse rooms all done? How do our floors there look? Oh, and have they got you scheduled to move some tile around yet? ;-)

Girls, whatever you do, don't miss out on the chocolate cereal (either the Schoko Musli or the "pillows") with some nutella stirred into the milk for breakfast -- yummo!

It's wonderful to hear Neil got his bag and clothes. Now if that other one will just wander back...

I'll be praying for lots of rest from your sleep this evening. Enjoy those open windows (without "l'air de manure," eh Mitch?).

Lots o' love to you all,
Julie

P.S. Missy, my wonderful BFF, could you bring some chocolate cereal home? :-) Yummo!

The pictures are great! It's good to see your smiling faces! You can see the hunger for the love of Jesus in the faces of the children. You are so blessed to be the ones to share His love with them! We continue to hold you close in our thoughts and prayers.

Love you all,
Nancy Sanders

Looks like an awesome experience. You're making a difference in the lives of those children. I am praying that you will be re-freshed each day and that your energy will be renewed through each child. Keep up the good work. Toma really appreciates all the "heavy lifting" and hauling at the Pastoral Center as well.

Hey everyone! It's Carolyn Coley. Just want to let you all know that I am praying for you all this week! I hear traveling was rough but hope camp is going well. I know you all are surrounded by some wonderful people...tell them hello for me! My week in Croatia was one of best, most meaningful experiences I have ever had and hope it will be for you all too even in the midst of the challenges. I admire you all for serving and loving the children in camp and wish I were there with you!
Love, Carolyn

Hah, I knew there would be hauling involved somehow. ROFL! The Croats just adore FBC for the heavily-muscled groups we send. :-)

Seriously though I'm glad you are having all sorts of ways to serve during your time "there and now." Keep up the wonderful job of planting those seeds. Remember that the Word of God doesn't come back void even if you don't see a harvest during this short time. Those children are being blessed by what you do and how you love on them, and I know God is just grinning from ear to ear at each of you this week.

What you're doing has eternal meaning, and you have to know we're so proud of how you're facing the ups and downs of this trip. Enjoy this moment centered in the will of Christ and know that you are in my prayers for rest, peace, joy, and stamina.

Love ya,
Julie

P.S. Rebecca, please give your momma a huge hug for me.

Pam & Shelie,
Cliff passed on your site to me. WOW! I'm so proud of you girls. Sounds like an enormous task, yet so rewarding. You are impacting lives now and in the future. And you definitely are much braver than me!
Pam--from the pics, I'm thinking you might want to head back to UT to get certified in elementary ed! (never too old they say)
Shelie--what wonderful memories and experiences you will bring back from this trip. God is so evident in your life. You have been blessed with such awesome Christian parents--but I think you already know that. Mem would be proud!
Just wanted you to know that I am praying for you daily.

Much love & prayers,
Aunt Laurie

Great job with the updates and pictures! I feel like I am right there with you. Based on the faces of the children and the mission team, it is going great and I believe that God is most definitely enjoying it too. Just keep spreading the seed. We continue to pray for you, the kids at the village and all the people of Croatia. We love you all and see you soon.

And to Amy and Tessa, I know you are having a great experience. We're missing you and look forward to your return. Love you both.

God Bless,

Scott

Wow, what beautiful kids to see. And I was glad to see someone besides Neil in some of those photos. ;-) I do declare I think he hugged every child there at least once for that camera!

I know you're all probably quite exhausted by now, but I'm sure it's a satisfied exhaustion which is well deserved. I can tell from the photos that you've all done such an amazing job loving on those kids. Kudos!

We can't wait for you to get home for some hugs too. I'm looking forward to hearing all about your adventures. Enjoy some rest and know you're in our prayers.

Many blessings on you all,
Julie

Hey first youth,
It looks like from the pictures that you are loving the kids and they are loving you back! We pray those seeds of God's love will germinate and flower. We're proud to be connected to you guys doing God's work. We're looking forward to hearing all the stories you have to tell.
